WORKSHOPS // 2023

A film club (about photography) located at AGITATE in the West end of Edinburgh. The name ‘FILM UND FOTO KLUB’ comes from the Film und Foto exhibition which took place in Stuttgart in 1929 to showcase new and transformative photography and cinema.

Agitate’s first co-curated show brings together the work of four contemporary photographers to present a view of our landscape: from vistas on the Cape Wrath Trail to stacks of Orkney stone; soft silk selves, island details and cyanotypes made at dawn.

READERS is a reading group exploring visual culture, with a primary focus on photography and the moving image. Every 2 months, we will meet on Wednesday to discuss a different text, and share visual works and artistic references the text reminded us of.

A collection of friendly and creative workshops designed to bring people together in pursuit of creative exploration and skill-sharing. Spaces are limited for each session so please do book early to avoid missing out!
