Jointly organised by Bee Here Now (IG: @bee_here.now) and Wak Tanjong Mosque (IG: @waktanjong_mosque), this is a rare opportunity to catch Where Olive Trees Weep in theatre and connect meaningfully through mindfulness. Where Olive Trees Weep No one is free until we are all free.R21 (Mature theme)Where Olive Trees Weep is a poignant story about the struggles and resilience of the Palestinians after decades of Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The film offers a glimpse of the impact of settler colonialism and the devastating consequences of unresolved intergenerational trauma.We explore the themes of loss, trauma, and the quest for justice through the every eyes of the people on the ground - Palestinian journalist and therapist Ashira Darwish, grassroots activist Ahed Tamimi and Israeli journalist Amira Hass. Witness Dr. Gabor Maté offering trauma-healing work for a group of women who have been tortured in Israeli prisons in this emotional journey.The screening will be followed by mindful activities to help us process our emotions and make sense of the conflict. Though we live in uncertain and tumultuous times, we can still find hope in safe spaces. Together, we will give and receive comfort through deep listening, heartfelt sharing and mindful breathing with visualisation (mindful meditation).Our biggest hope is that this special event sparks your personal healing journey, and if possible, inspire your courageous actions for a peaceful world.This is non-profit event is approved by IMDA. Proceeds will be donated to humantiarian relief in Gaza. Led by meditation guide and life coach, Anastasia Tham, Bee Here Now is a ground-up initiative that is committed to creating a better world through mindful living. In a time of increasing isolation, burnout and disconnection, knowing how to come home to ourselves is possibly the most important life skill today and in the future. Bee Here Now champions emotional resilience by creating nurturing spaces for people to come together, to feel deeply, share authentically and remember who they truly are.
