About the Programme/Event
This workshop introduces you to the wonders of creative songwriting in a structured manner. From melodic writing principles, lyrics and rhyme techniques, chord progressions, you will be guided closely and a buddy system will also be created to help you along the way to write your very first song!

About the Trainer
Eric Lee is the Director of Northwood Music and founder of Music Improvisation Collective. An award-winning educator and musician, Eric holds a B.A. (Hons) , a PGDE(Distinction) in teaching at NIE/NTU and was formerly Head of Department at Raffles Junior Colleg, has two Distinctions in Teaching Excellence awarded by MOE/NIE and Cornell University (US) and was nominated for the Singapore President Teacher's Award - the highest accolade in teaching excellence in Singapore. He also holds a ANZCA Diploma in Jazz Piano Performance, has performed at many venues such as SingJazz, Blujaz, Intercontinental, Marriott, Esplanade-by-the-Bay, etc.
Conditions:
- Target Audience: aged 15 and above who are musically-trained but with no knowledge in songwriting.
- Participants are required to have your webcams ON during the session.
- Limited to 20 participants. Participants are advised to register and attend all 6 sessions in order to get a certificate at the end of the course.
