A retreat for applying trauma sensitive mindfulness and self-compassion to heal the mind and self confidence & emotional balance

About this event

Trauma is a distressing or disturbing experience which leads to recurring emotional distress. We have all experienced trauma in various forms and degree at work, at home or socially.

Trauma sensitive and self-compassion mindfulness techniques and practices will be introduced and practiced to reduce the lingering pain and to heal the heart and mind.

Attending onsite with residential option or Zoom are available. Observing silence throughout the retreat is also an option. Lunch and dinner bentos will be provided to those attending onsite.

If you book a room, it can be shared with one other person. The rate is inclusive of breakfast for two persons. Only limited rooms at the special rate are available. Vegetarian lunch and dinner bento boxes will be provided to those who attend onsite on 31Oct and 1 Nov, only lunch bento will be provided on 2 Nov.

Dr Treleavan's session will be via Zoom daily

Each session will comprise guidance, mindfulness practices, Q&A .

Retreat Teachers:

Adj. A/Prof Angie Chew teaches a range of courses including Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Courses and Mindfulness for Enhanced Performance Course. She is the leading mindfulness teacher in Singapore and has taught mindfulness to thousands including healthcare professionals, educators, bankers, technologists, homemakers and students. She has also conducted numerous mindfulness retreats.

Dr David Treleavan is a Trauma Specialist. He will be teaching Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness® (TSM). In 2018, he published a book titled Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness that became a #1 New Release on Amazon.

Please note that David will be teaching via Zoom. He has trained thousands of people in TSM, from meditation and yoga teachers, to coaches and health-care workers, to classroom teachers.

On-Site COVID-19 Precautions: One meter social distancing, face masks to be at all times in the ballroom, group size limit: 50

What to Bring: Yoga mat, water bottle, shawl or jacket in case you feel cold in the ballroom. Wear comfortable clothing

Brahm Centre is a leading course provider of a wide range of science-based mindfulness programs to reduce stress and enhance well-being in today's fast paced world.
