Enjoy a laid-back, two-day language learning holiday with kayaking, fishing, water confidence and sight-seeing as part of the fun mix of activities. A fantastic way for you to increase your confidence outside of the classroom and use Malay in a real-world setting. With the guidance of your teacher you will put your anxieties at ease and learn to use your newly acquired skills in everyday settings.
This is no ordinary language learning experience, you will not just be led through a text book but instead, experiencing the retreat means that you will be guided through the language at all times to really help develop your linguistic skills. This retreat method of learning a new language will have you thinking in as well as speaking Malay in no time at all and once you think in a different language, you will find that you can progress at a rapid pace. This is a student-centred learning programme where participants are guided to acquire basic skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing through competency-based approach. The retreat programme also enables the participant to experience independence, working together, adapting to new environment and participating in a number of cultural activities.
You will have 12 hours of formal lessons - Outside of your formal lessons, you will be continuously immersed in the language through your retreat (approx < 6 hours).
Course Take Away
The course is aimed at providing basic skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing in the Malay language, besides getting to know the Malay culture and customs.
