About the Programme:
Traditional Chinese theatre can be represented through a variety of theatrical forms, with Chinese opera being one of the many prominent developments in the rich history of Chinese theatre. Join our Associate Librarian as she shares about the history of this traditional art form and what makes it truly unique. To top it all off, attendees will also get the opportunity to enjoy a short live performance of《帝女花之香夭》by local hobbyists.
About the Speaker:
As an Associate Librarian at the library@esplanade, Isabelle’s specialties lie in the areas of theatre and dance. Passionate about nurturing performing arts audiences and developing arts literacy, Isabelle devotes herself to the curation and promotion of theatre and dance programmes.
