Description

Introduction - Understanding Children and Youth with Special Needs

Singapore is working towards a more inclusive society, where it aims to provide more support to people with disabilities to better integrate into schools and the workforce. It is important for individuals to equip themselves with the knowledge and skills about developmental disabilities and learn how we ourselves can promote inclusion.

The first step that we can take would be to discuss the common misconceptions and myths that individuals may have about developmental disabilities. Subsequent ACC Life Talks will discuss specific developmental disabilities and how we can understand and manage children and youths with these special needs.
