ACE Market Immersion: Thailand

Looking to break into the Thailand market? Join the ACE startup delegation for a 4-day market immersion trip to Bangkok, Thailand!

Thailand has a growing startup ecosystem with an increasing number of tech startups incorporating their business every year. The ecosystem has seen a growth in investment activities as well, with more tech startups receiving bigger funding amount from investors. The Thai government has been very involved in transforming the Thai economy into a digital economy. Overall, we see a potential for Thailand to be a key country for startups to expand into and serve as an important gateway for startups to access the Greater Mekong Sub-region.

Through this programme, you will be able to:

1. Connect with potential partners/clients for market access in Thailand

  • Business matching & networking with relevant prospective organisations
  • Pitching to Thai corporates, LLEs, and SMEs for potential digital transformation and corporate innovation projects
  • Company visits to relevant Thai organizations to explore potential collaboration

2. Participate in Grand Opening of True Digital Park, Southeast Asia's largest startup and innovation hub. Network with > 500 key stakeholders from Thailand startup & innovation ecosystem

  • Network with Thailand startup and innovation enablers & be plugged into the Thailand startup and innovation ecosystem
  • Attend the launch of True Digital Park - ACE Singapore Centre, Singapore's soft-landing zone for Singapore tech startups to access the Thailand market
  • Opportunity to speak in panel discussion during Grand Opening of True Digital Park

4. Learn how to do business in Thailand through workshops & business advisory clinics

Date: 16th - 19th September 2019

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Programme Fee:

  • S$1,600 per startup (up to 2 representatives)

  • Costs such as flights and accommodation are to be arranged by the startup and is not covered under the Programme cost

Eligibility criteria:

  • All tech startups in Singapore
  • Startup with traction in Singapore (revenue generating, sizeable user base, local & international partnerships, etc)
  • Startup ready and committed to expand into Thailand

Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE)

The Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) was launched in 2003 by the Ministry of Trade & Industry as a national effort to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Singapore. It was restructured in 2014 as a private-led initiative supported by the government to continue its national mandate to drive entrepreneurship initiatives in Singapore. The Senior Minister of State for Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Trade & Industry, Dr Koh Poh Koon is Patron. Working closely with Enterprise Singapore, ACE is guided by a board of directors that comprises of experienced entrepreneurs and professionals who are immersed in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

ACE Market Immersion

As part of the ACE International Centre's initiative to support the internationalisation journey of technology startups into the region and worldwide, ACE Market Immersion trips brings startups to their target markets in the region for ecosystem plug-in. Through meeting various startup ecosystem enablers and understanding the market from in-market experts, startups will gain insights on the potential of target markets and how to gain access.

To deepen ACE's support for Singapore tech startups in Thailand market access, ACE sets up the True Digital Park - ACE Singapore Centre to provide a soft-landing zone for Singapore startups. Situated at the heart of Bangkok's emerging innovation district, True Digital Park is a world-class startup campus with an ecosystem of global tech companies, accelerators, investors and government agencies.
