Afternoon Tea with Catherine Lim
Often hailed as the doyenne of Singapore fiction, award-winning author Catherine Lim is internationally recognised as one of the leading figures in the world of Asian fiction and non-fiction. A prolific writer and political commentator, Catherine has penned more than twenty books across various genres — short stories, novels, reflective prose, poems and satirical pieces. Many of her works are studied in local and foreign schools and universities and have been published in various languages in several countries.
We invite both writers and aspiring writers of the fiction and non-fiction genres to join the spritely Catherine for afternoon tea at the lovely Singapore Cricket Club. Find out what inspires her and how her writing journey has evolved through the span of her fifty-year career. Discuss your ideas with her and get tips on how to bring out the best in your writing.
