AHA Past Winner's Tour: The Fullerton Heritage
Like all great destinations, The Fullerton Building has a great story to tell. One of Singapore's grandest monuments with its majestic Palladian facade, The Fullerton Building has always stood strong as a centre of power - from a key government institution to the world class hotel it is today. Find out which of our prominent former and current Singapore leaders once worked in this historic 1928 building and hear tales about her role during World War II as a place of refuge. Sail back in time to 1819 and discover how a simple transhipment port evolved into one of the most renowned and busy ports in the world! You will be captivated by stories of how the forefathers of Singapore stepped ashore on Singapore soil for the first time via Clifford Pier. Venture further and uncover the exciting speed boat chases that took place from the Customs House. Finally, you will stand in awe at the city that has stood through the tides of time to arrive at where it is today. The restoration projects received the 2001, 2005 and 2011 Architectural Heritage Awards.
