About this event

Have you ever wondered what lies within the Former Ford Factory, tucked away among the lush greenery along Upper Bukit Timah Road? Join us as we explore the building’s industrial beginnings as the first motorcar assembly plant in Southeast Asia, and witness its transformation to the learning centre it is now.

Take a road trip with Assistant Conservator Cassandra Tang as she shares on how the Former Ford Factory came to be, take a peek at the exhibition on life during the Japanese Occupation and discover the twists and turns of maintaining a permanent exhibition.

Together with her fellow conservators at the Archives Conservation Lab, she carries out conservation treatments for historical records and supports the collections and exhibitions at the National Archives of Singapore, National Library and the Former Ford Factory.
