Throughout history, Mother Earth has provided mankind with resources to sustain ourselves. But are we using up earth’s resources faster than it can replenished?
Are climate change, deforestation and the loss in biodiversity, symptoms of a ravaged earth? Join us to learn about the planetary boundaries, earth’s carrying capacity and why we may be in an environmental deficit.
About our Speaker
Dr. Chua Siew Chin is a lecturer at the National University of Singapore, Ridge View Residential College, where she teaches environmental sustainability. She is a forest ecologist by training and studies the feedbacks between plants and their environment at human-impacted landscapes. Her research focusses on restoring degraded tropical rainforests.
