About the Programme/Event:
The onset of Covid has resulted in many changes and adaptations, one of which was the switch to working-from-home. While many relish the convenience this arrangement brings, most home workspaces are not well-suited for work and bring along a significant downside – physical pain from ergonomic health issues, such as stiff necks, aches and pain in the back, shoulders or hands.
Organized in collaboration with Singapore General Hospital, this talk is the second of a 3-parter series that explores the health issues of working-from-home. Participants will learn about the causes of back and neck pain, the recognizable signs and symptoms which require specialist care, as well as simple exercises to further reduce the pain, protect the spine from unhealthy stress and recurrent attacks of pain. A brief discussion on nonsurgical and surgical care will also be included in the talk.
