About the Programme

Behind the Lens: Get a glimpse into the world of travel photography in this sharing session by Alvin Ng.

Fuelled by an enduring passion for humanity's quest for self-discovery, and the mystical realms of spirituality, Alvin has been following the ebbs and flow of daily life for the past six years. This has led him to meet and explore diverse worlds of individuals and communities as mystical as the holy Hindu Aghoris from the Pyres of Varanasi, to live with nomads in the Indian desert, and to celebrate the antiquity of myths and legends of ancient Romans. Through photography, he listens to people’s stories as they open their world to the light, and with a glimpse of their wisdom received, he passes their stories on to you. 

About the Speaker

Alvin Ng is a Southeast Asian photographer currently based in Singapore who works in between the worlds of photography and research. His works convey a sense of intimacy and mystery based on the intricate relationship between humanity, the natural world, and the various realms of spiritualities. His works have been exhibited across multiple international exhibitions and galleries. He has also shot for agencies and hotels such as Klook and Club Med Resorts.Instagram: @alvinnzh
