Description

Bereavement Care in Singapore: Present, Past & Future

Bereavement, defined as the objective situation of the loss of a loved one, is a universal experience. Yet, bereavement care does not seem to be anyone's core business.

When did bereavement care take root in Singapore? What role did palliative care play in its development? What is the current state of bereavement care within and outside of palliative care teams? Who are the stakeholders in the provision of bereavement care beyond healthcare institution and in the community?

As a prelude to Singapore's inaugural Grief and Bereavement Conference on 31 October and 1 November 2018, participants are invited to engage with the panelists in a discussion on Singapore's bereavement care. The panelists will be tracing the development of bereavement care, reviewing its current provision and offering their perspectives on future opportunities.

Lunch reception would be provided from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and the session would commence at 1:00 pm.
