SHARING & EXPERENTIAL ACTIVITY by BEVERLY LIN
One day, my dog, Zappy and I were taking a stroll in the park. Suddenly, Zappy started barking at some fallen leaves and it came to my awareness that there was a snake! My heart started to race and my body tensed up. The next moment, Zappy and I dashed away from the snake to safety.
When faced with real danger, some amount of fear helps us to keep safe. However, fear can become overwhelming to the point of crippling us. How do we "bounce back" from difficult situations?
Research shows that there are various ways to build resiliency. During this sharing, you would be able to reflect on the function of your fears and learn skills that could help to reduce body stress and reframe your mind positively. We would be doing fun and interesting mind exercises that reduce stress, increase optimism, and change your brain.
I look forward to meeting with you!
