What is this programme about?

As we move into the gig economy, an increasing number of employees are interested in making the switch to be a ‘solopreneur’ (‘solo’ + ‘entrepreneurship’). You may be one of them. Perhaps you have read or heard of success stories of how many have thrived as one on their own. In the digital age, we often read of how being a solopreneur means a more flexible lifestyle and more passive income. However, is that true?

There are many considerations to be made and steps to be taken. What are the skills one must have to start or even thrive as a solopreneur in training or consulting? How does one stand out among the masses? How does one structure and manage courses? What is their personal brand?

This workshop is designed to share with individuals that being a solopreneur needs a proper system to start designing, developing and marketing their own training programs and it's not a secret that's hidden behind doors. One can learn how to design and how to create successful courses for training and adult education and how to prepare themselves for the entrepreneurship journey.

What does it cover?

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the SMART goals for starting their training programs
  • Identify Your Values and Expertise to aid designing of courses
  • Identify the Hidden Demands of Entrepreneurship
  • Identity the necessary factors for consideration for creating a successful course
  • List how personal branding using the framework (CAAP – Consistency, Adaptability, Authenticity and Personality) may contribute to the growth of a business

Who is it suitable for?

This programme is for professionals in:

  • Adult Education: trainer, coach, facilitator, educator, assessor, instructional designer
  • People who have always dreamed of starting their own business but were worried about the risks involved.
  • People who would like to generate an additional income, with low risks and start-up costs
