Centre of Joy

This signature course incorporates the Zentangle method with yoga and the chakra energy system. The course will introduce the 7 chakras and the central meridian. Through different activities in each session, we aim to mindfully reconnect with our inner-self with the help of tangling and other techniques.The course is usually offered once a year. This year, it will be offered in two classes, one to be conducted in English, and the other in Mandarin. Minimum 5 to start and maximum 8 in a class so that there can be more in-depth sharing and discussions.This signature course is open to everyone, no art background or prior yoga experience is required, just come with an open mind and a keen intention to connect with your inner-self.⚛️ In this course, you will learn :<ul><li>brief introduction to the chakra system</li><li>the Zentangle method</li><li>basic to intermediate tangling concepts and techniques</li><li>basic to intermediate tangle patterns</li><li>self-exploration with regards to the chakra system</li><li>yoga practice</li><li>you may better understand your physical and emotional well-being in relation to your various chakra conditions</li></ul> ⚛️ In a typical session, there will usually be (subject to change)<ul><li>an introduction to one chakra or the central meridian </li><li>5 – 10 minutes breath work / guided meditation</li><li>simple yoga practice for the corresponding chakra theme</li><li>tangling practice using selected tangle patterns with special considerations to the corresponding chakra theme</li><li>homework for the week</li></ul> ⚛️ Come join this course if you<ul><li>are curious about the chakra system and how it reflects our well-being</li><li>are ready to find out more about yourself and to explore ways to manage any imbalances</li><li>are open to explore life opportunities to learn something new</li><li>just want to learn a simple skill that can help you to relax and reconnect in 15 minutes</li><li>think art is not for you because we are pretty sure that you will change your mind at the end of course</li></ul>⚛️ Date &amp; Time Tuesday evenings, total 7 sessions7.30 – 10 pm, Mar 5, 12, 19,26 ; Apr 2, 23, 30⚛️Course Fee (per hour rate is $14.50)<ul><li>Option 1: $256, 7 sessions 16.5 hours, inclusive of all materials</li><li>Option 2: $240, 7 sessions 16.5 hours, bring your own basic Zentangle materials (see materials listed below)</li></ul>For participants residing outside of Singapore and will be joining via online platform, please contact us for material postal charges and information. She is also a Yoga of Joy teacher. She learned about the chakra system from various traditions, including Yoga of Joy, anthroposophy, and energy medicine, she has also completed MBSR and MBCT mindfulness-based therapy courses.
