Description

This is a programme for children to learn about the history of shelter and the construction of house models. There are two themes to this programme, below is Theme 1.

Date: 7 to 18 May (Mondays to Thursdays)
Time: 9 am to 11 am
For children: age 8 to 11 years old
Fee: $400 per child for eight days, Fridays are complimentary

Theme 1: History of Shelter - the children will listen to stories on the evolution of shelters, get involved in activities to enhance the stories that they have heard, recall the stories and put them down in their lesson books. The children will practice thinking, feeling and putting things into action over the two weeks of work.

Special on Fridays (11th and 18th): complimentary for parents who allow their children to go for a journey to WOW Kampung at Khatib. We will be doing volunteer work there from 9 am to 2 pm.

Ms Toh Yeng Yen will be the facilitator for these two programmes. She has experience running children's programmes for many years. She has received her training in Waldorf Steiner Education in New Zealand and she travels widely to attend seminars and conferences on Anthroposophy and Waldorf teaching. She is one of the Class teachers in The Waldorf Steiner School.
