About this event
Experience Kreta Ayer, a predominantly Cantonese area in the 19th century, known for round-the-clock entertainment with a concentration of teahouses, opera theatres and brothels.
This is part of the series of monthly Chinatown tours conducted by URA's volunteer guides from the Friends of the Museums (FOM).
REGISTRATION will open on 11 March 2022 at 10.00am and will close on 16 March 2022 at 12 noon or earlier depending on the availability of tickets. Admission is free but PRE-REGISTRATION is required.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO TAKE NOTE OF, BEFORE YOU REGISTER
1) Participants MUST BE fully vaccinated to attend the tour.
2) Admission is free with PRE-REGISTRATION but spaces are limited to 10 pax due to the current COVID-19 restrictions.
3) Each person is entitled to one slot per session ONLY so please do not block book slots under one person's name or email. Please ensure that the name on your EVENTBRITE Registration is the same as on your NRIC/Passport.
If you should be registering for a family member or friend, the person's name, email and telephone number should be reflected as well and not that of the person booking. We seek your kind assistance on this.
4) Should you come with friends, due to current maximum group size of 5 persons, we reserve the right to split your group to ensure compliance to the SMM.
Things to bring along:
1) Earphones or earbuds with the standard jack - not Bluetooth. This is for use with our Audio Guide,
2) Umbrella or poncho in case of rain
3) Water
Do note that the tour will proceed rain or shine.
Please do inform us or cancel your ticket in the event you are unable to attend so that the space can be given up to someone else.
As the tour commentary has been developed by each individual docent, we would appreciate it if you do not audio or video record the trail.
