Description
The National Environment Agency (NEA) is excited to announce the inaugural Clean & Green Hackathon from 26th to 28th April 2013. Join developers, environmental activists, creatives and concerned citizens to build solutions that will empower the public to safeguard and nurture Singapore’s environment.
The hackathon will feature NEA datasets that have never been released publicly before and are not available on any public forum. Come brainstorm ideas, work with innovative people and create awesome solutions for a sustainable Singapore!

Data
NEA is providing data sets that have never been released publicly before and are not available on any public forum. The following data sets will be released exclusively for the hackathon weekend -

Energy consumption for buildings registered under the Energy Smart Building Labelling Scheme

Detailed household energy consumption figures from a national study

Crowd-sourced littering, public cleanliness and food hygiene reports

They are also featuring data sets from CleanLah and X-Dengue, two applications already making great use of government data and are widely used by the public in Singapore.
SAP Workshop
Interested in how you can make sense of the new datasets available for the Clean & Green Hackathon? SAP is running a HANA One and Visual Intelligence workshop from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on 26th April 2013. (Free dinner provided)
Speakers from SAP will demonstrate how their database and analytics solution can analyse the data available in NEA's data sandbox. Using your own Windows, Linux, or Mac computers, get started with HANA One or Visual Intelligence in under 30 minutes.
Participants with SAP workshop tickets will be eligible to attend the whole hackathon weekend.
