About the Programme/Event

Creating decorative and ornamental parts in Tinkercad is a lot of fun, but it can be challenging for designs to truly capture the original intent of the design. 3D printed parts are usually a single colour, and it can be challenging to make 3D printed parts look like finished products. In this session, we will cover the digital design and fabrication of the following:

  • Use Tinkercad to 3D model a simple Tiger decoration
  • Create multiple parts that can be fastened together afterward
  • Print the parts using different coloured filaments
  • Attach the parts using super glue

Note that the software used is not strictly necessary to create these objects, and any free and/or open-source CAD platform is suitable.

Recommended for participants aged 15 and above.
