About the Programme/Event

Are seniors’ voices being sufficiently heard and what are the avenues that they can harness to share their passion? What are the communication skills that they need to bring their message across more impactfully? Seniors possess an immense ability to raise the collective wisdom of society by sharing their experiences. Come together as a community to discover the power of communication and learn how to better harness your voice.

About the speaker

Ms. Carolyn Street, Director, Therapist and Coach, Holistic Coach SIngapore

Ms. Street began volunteering with Age Concern in the UK while studying for her Bachelor's degree in Social Policy. As a polytechnic lecturer she worked on the Gerontological Management Studies Diploma and taught Public Speaking. Her work now as a Therapist and Coach includes helping older clients find their voices and gain and appreciate and enjoy new skills and activities.

Ms. Evelyn Khoo Pei Lee, Founder, Aphasia SG

Ms. Khoo is a passionate aphasia advocate and the founder of Aphasia SG, a non-profit organisation supporting persons with aphasia and their caregivers in Singapore. She is an experienced speech and language therapist who specialises in seeing clients with acquired communication disorders.

Ms. Melanie Colling, Founder, Purpose Driven Projects and Experts On Air

Ms. Colling supports business leaders and experts succeed and accelerate their businesses by developing valued connections to become leaders in their field, industry and/or niche. She believes entrepreneurs will make the change in the world we want to see and need so she is committed to supporting and connecting entrepreneurs to empower change!

Mr. Mervin Yeo, Founder & Networking Evangelist, Introverts Network Asia and Quiet Impact Asia

Mr. Yeo has been in the training business since 1999. Since 2013, he has been leading Introverts Network Asia, a thriving community of introverts. He currently runs Quiet Impact Asia, an academy to develop adaptive introverts. An author of numerous books, his latest is “Step Out, Show Up - Networking Confidence Starter-Guide for Introverts”.

Mr. Ricky FM Law, Founder, Nation for Future Seniors

Mr. Law is a lecturer on digital marketing. He advocates turning untapped assets of seniors- knowledge, experience, network and time, into productivity, through mindset change.

Time of Your Life Celebration 2020

National Library Board (NLB), in collaboration with the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is pleased to announce the Time of Your Life Celebration 2020, in conjunction with the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Gerontology Programme of SUSS. This is a series of exciting events such as interactive talks and panel discussions to engage our community to exchange ideas on gerontology-related topics.

Industry Expert Series

Learn from industry experts and professionals from organisations such as Council for Third Age, ELDEX Asia, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and many others through online seminars, panel discussions and workshops that discuss pertinent issues in the field of Gerontology.
