About this event

When we are being asked the question: “Do you take care of yourself?” most of us will answer “yes” — without even thinking.

You may think: “This is a silly question! Of course, I care about myself.”

When asked, “In what ways do you take care of yourself?” — well, that’s where most people find it difficult to answer…

Singapore is an Asian nation where working the extra hour, and going the extra miles seems like an acceptable virtue in the working culture. In fact, this is highly valued.

Addiction to work, damaged relationships, poor quality of life, and anxiety attacks are some of the consequences of overworking. How then do you disconnect from your work and enjoy your downtime?

In this talk, the following topics will be covered:

  • Stress, anxiety, and Burnt-out

The Lion Mind is a non-profit organisation (NPO). It’s three aims are

(1) to strengthen an individual’s positive mind and coping mechanism

(2) to provide the platform for practicing clinicians to gain the necessary competencies in providing clinical care

(3) and to outreach to the public on the importance of a healthy mind

 

The Lion Mind is a corporate member of the Association of Psychotherapists And Counsellors (Singapore) (APACS). This enables us to bring the highest standard of clinical care to our clients, and to provide quality community outreach and education to the general public.
