About the programme
This workshop is suitable for parent-child pairs.
Creating Constellations is an art therapy experiential for participants to practise self-exploration through artmaking.
The workshop will start with an introduction to what art therapy is, followed by a warm-up exercise to ease participants into the process of art-making and sharing their thoughts in a group context.
Participants will then be guided through the Creating Constellations exercise, drawing dots and connecting them with lines on a piece of paper using markers. They will then be encouraged to look at what they have drawn and identify any patterns or constellations that they might see. Participants will share about their artworks to the rest of the group, exploring and reflecting on them with the guidance of the art therapist.
All art materials will be provided.
This session accompanies the exhibition Mother · Art · Healing at library@orchard from 4-31 May 2022.
