Event description
CREATIVE MOVEMENT WORKSHOP WITH ROLYPOLY FAMILY

About this Event

Led by dance facilitators from Rolypoly Family, this outdoor workshop invites children to explore the sense of time through their bodies and movement, using imagery from nature and trees. Join us for a session of fun improvisation with music accompaniment and natural materials!

Suitable for children aged 4 - 8 years. Parents are welcome to join in - no prior dance experience required!

PLEASE NOTE:

  • This workshop will be held beside Robert Zhao's public sculpture The Time Tree, next to the Jubilee Park playground in Fort Canning Park.
  • Participating children and grown-ups should be dressed in comfortable attire for active movement. Dance mats will be provided.
  • The workshop may be cancelled in the event of rain.
  • Each ticket admits one family.

This event is part of a series of public programmes held in conjunction with the sculpture The Time Tree by Robert Zhao Renhui, a commission by the National Arts Council's Public Art Trust in commemoration of the Singapore Bicentennial.

The Time Tree is currently on view at Jubilee Park in Fort Canning Park until late Oct 2019, and will travel to two other sites across Singapore between Nov 2019 to Feb 2020.

For more information on the Bicentennial public artworks and related programmes, please visit www.publicarttrust.sg/SG_Bicentennial.
