In this era of social media and digital interconnectedness, the spread of online falsehoods, commonly known as fake news, has become a growing concern. Only by equipping ourselves with the tools and knowledge to identify online falsehoods can we effectively guard against them.

This session will provide a better understanding of online falsehoods through the following: 

  • The dangers of online falsehoods
  • Techniques for identifying online falsehoods
  • Examples of online falsehoods

About the Speaker

Andy Toh has taken on many roles in his career spanning more than 20 years, most notably with a leading American multinational technology company that specialises in internet-related services and products. He is currently a dedicated professional educator for various organisations as a domain expert in management and technology. To date, Andy has delivered more than 4000 hours of training for adult learners under the Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) framework and SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace (SFDW) programme.
