This live webinar showcases how to incorporate a design brief in a numeracy and literacy early childhood education classroom.

About this Event

Design thinking can be used to develop problem solving skills. When young, children are masters of imagination and intuition, they are creative and expressive. In this series of live webinars, you will learn using a design brief platform to establish a learning experience where children learn more effectively in numeracy and literacy and at the same time express their creativity more freely.

This live webinar will take a focus to incorporate the design brief in a numeracy and literacy early childhood education classroom.

Yingxuan is an experienced lecturer and curriculum content writer, having worked in both local (Singapore) education and at an International university. She mainly focuses on educating students becoming teachers, as well as carrying out professional development of in-service teachers. She has a strong belief that education and lessons should be fun and engaging and strive to transfer this to those that she teaches and works with. She is currently exploring ideas on improving the teaching of values education in schools.

Prior to joining the University as a sessional lecturer, Yingxuan was a teacher in a primary school in Singapore, where she taught a wide range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science Physical Education and Music. She specialises in writing Mathematics as well as Science examination papers. She was also part of a team which graded Mathematics examination papers for the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).

Besides teaching, Yingxuan is a sought-after presenter who has conducted workshops on learning theories and educational psychology overseas.
