Yoga helps you stay clean on the inside and energetic on the outside. In this detoxifying flow learn yogic techniques which allows the body to expel the toxins through the muscular wringing.
THE PRACTICE
This time of year is filled with self-indulgence as we enjoy the good times of the New Year with delectable goodies! The dollops of saturated fat and trans-fat entering the body is alarming. And if you decide to lead a healthy lifestyle there is the danger of nutritious food being covered with fertilizers. Not to mention the polluted air we breathe. We are probably ingesting a lot of toxins on a daily basis.
Our bodies are designed to engage in detoxification every single day. You may say that it already has cleansing organs like the liver, kidneys and lungs. But the truth is that your body is working overtime to handle invasive toxins. They attack the system multiple times in many ways which leads to sluggishness, bloating, break outs etc.
In this class we’ll learn active yoga postures that will stimulate your circulatory, digestive and lymphatic system, helping you rid your body of waste and toxins. It is also important to detoxify the mind, with the help of breathing techniques and meditation- to increase lung capacity and to remove mental and emotional toxicity.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Vijayeta has been teaching yoga for 3 years and has over 500 hours of training. She is a certified Sivananda trainer and has completed her teaching training course at Lotus Satsangha Institute, Bangalore. Her love for yoga stems from her search for an agile mind and a strong body and her classes are created with a motive of delivering these skills to all.
DETAILS
This event will be held at the botanical garden every Saturday at 8.30 am. You will need to bring your own mat to the venue. Due to Covid restrictions, spots are limited.
