About the Programme/Event
Interacting with applications using voice commands and chatbots has become a norm. What is the technology that allows conversations between computer programs and people? In this interactive session, participants will learn more about the chatbot landscape, discover useful chatbots, and co-create a simple chatbot with the presenter.
This programme is a collaboration between National Library Board and Republic Polytechnic.
About the Speaker
Mr. Tan Poh Keam is a Senior Lecturer from the Republic Polytechnic. He teaches information technologies and undertakes applied research projects in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). His interest in AI was sparked by his first encounter with a funny chatbot. Since then, he has worked on several AI projects involving conversational systems and computer vision. Before joining Republic Polytechnic, Mr Tan was responsible for programme management with multi-national corporations. Mr Tan holds a Master of Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University.
