Do-It-Yourself Past AHA Winner's Tour: Old Parliament House
Gazetted as a National Monument in 1992, the Old Parliament House is a historical landmark of rich heritage and was the seat of Government since the colonial days. This building of typical 19th century British colonial architecture has been restored to its late 1950s layout, its most significant period when it functioned as the Legislative Assembly and the Parliament House of Singapore, and its spaces thoughtfully adapted for its new use as a contemporary multi-disciplinary arts and heritage centre. The restoration project received the 2004 Architectural Heritage Award.
