SYNOPSIS

If you are an aspiring illustrator, or someone who already illustrates but wants to break into the exciting business of freelance illustration, this fun and interactive course is designed for you.

Unlike other instructional courses on this subject, here you will hang out with the trainer while she shares her tools, tips and trade secrets to not just survive but enjoy life as a freelance illustrator, especially as a children’s illustrator. She will take you on a step-by- step tour of her work process: how she conceives, designs and promotes her work. You will get hands-on experience to create a pilot project from start to finish during this session.

This course is suitable for 18 years and above.

TRAINER
Debasmita Dasgupta is a widely published freelance illustrator and creative entrepreneur, specialising in drawing for children of all ages. Working with publishers across Asia, Europe and the United States, she has illustrated 11 picture books so far. Her work has been exhibited in Italy, Singapore, Thailand, Denmark & more than 30 international media outlets have featured it..

Cancellation of Workshop, Withdrawals & Substitution
The workshop can be cancelled or postponed two weeks before the workshop date if the minimum number of participants is not met. Participants will be fully refunded for workshops cancelled by us.Participants who are unable to attend a workshop they have registered for are to inform us of the reason two weeks before the workshop date. They will be fully refunded in the event of extenuating and mitigating circumstances (E.g. illness, bereavement, accidents). Those who inform us later than two weeks before the workshop date will receive a 50 % refund. Participants can also opt to attend another course at the same value within the same year.
Upon registration, you are deemed to have read and understood the cancellation, withdrawal and substitution policy and accept the terms contained therein.

*Please note there is no lift to Book Council Training Room (3rd level).
