HopeBox
Join us on December 9, Sat at 9am to meet the founder, Joshua, of HopeBox. He will be sharing with you what HopeBox is all about.
HopeBox is a social enterprise with the goal to fight poverty by creating microbusinesses that unlock the hidden potential of local communities. Supported by a collaborative ecosystem, local entrepreneurs work alongside international partners with domain expertise to transform re-purposed shipping containers into well-designed enterprises that serve as a sustainable source of livelihood and create waves of impact within each community.
About the Book Drive
Dreamkids aims to collect 1,000 new or gently used children's book for children in Aceh, Indonesia. There is a sharing session at 9am and books can be dropped out at 46 East Coast Road, #01-03, East Gate, Singapore 428766 between 10am and 1pm.
This is a collaboration spearheaded by Dreamkids Kindergarten and HopeBox, DreamBox is a project to bring education and happiness to underprivileged children in Aceh, Indonesia. By transforming a re-purposed shipping container into a thoughtfully designed classroom, DreamBox provides a safe and conducive learning environment for these children, whose school had been destroyed by the 6.5 magnitude earthquake in late 2016.
DreamBox believes that by giving every child, especially those living in poverty, the opportunity to gain new knowledge and learn useful skills, we can unleash their full potential, aspire them to dream big and eventually become change makers in their own communities.
