As advised by Red Cross Singapore, the number of potential blood donors is capped at 120, staggered over the six-hour period. Therefore, pre-booking is required.
Before you proceed to Register, please check if you are eligible. The Basic Criteria are as follows:
• Aged between 16 and 60 years old
• Generally in good health
• Weigh at least 45 kg
• Have not had any symptoms of infection e.g. sore throat, cough, runny nose or diarrhoea for at least one week
• Have not had fever in the last four weeks
• Have not travelled overseas in the last 30 days
• Have not travelled to and stayed overnight in any malaria endemic area in the last four months (Please visit hsa.gov.sg/travel_deferral for an updated list of areas)
• Have a haemoglobin level of at least 13.0 g/dl for males and 12.5 g/dl for females (to be determined on-site during health screening)
Note: All potential blood donors will be health screened on-site.
