Description

About the Event

The Education Funders' Circle Roundtable is a gathering of individuals and organisations—companies, social enterprises and NGOs—working on transforming education outcomes in Malaysia. This meeting takes place on a quarterly basis, hosted by various members of the Circle and curated to address specific themes.

Come and explore the latest trends and thoughts in the education ecosystem in Malaysia, while connecting with key players in the sector at the next Education Funders' Roundtable, which will be hosted by Design for Change Malaysia.

The 17th Education Funders' Roundtable seeks to discuss:

"Values-Based Education to Drive Society Towards a Better Future: Overrated or Overlooked?"

While some parents and educators strongly believe that education in school should be focused on improving a student's academic achievements first and foremost, a movement is forming around those who believe that education should emphasize values above anything else.

Design for Change Malaysia is one who sees the future of education and society filled with mindful citizens, socially-conscious and globally-aware. The future and all of the various scenarios are unknown, but we can nurture individuals that are equipped with the technological, human-centred and values-based skills to be prepared for any future that comes their way.

Join us as we discuss this from the perspectives of the policymakers, educators, parents, future job providers, global players and alternative education providers.

Let’s explore how we might collaborate to shape educational outcomes for students in Malaysia
and build the next generation of global citizens.
