Event description
A practical, Word-soaked conference for all serving in church music and sound ministry, and all serious about singing the gospel in church

About this Event

Adam Road Presbyterian Church (ARPC) delights in the true worship of God by exalting Jesus. We begin 2020 by partnering EMU to present two special events - a concert and a music conference - to bless, equip and mature God’s people in worshipping God Biblically, truly and joyfully.

Emu's Word In Song Conferences have been delivering training and encouragement in music ministry for churches throughout Australia, Africa, Asia and the UK since 2003. Hallmark features of the conferences include Biblical teaching on the nature of church and worship, practical training on how to play effectively, and much joyful singing.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEADERS

Philip Percival loves helping Church musicians grow in their gifts to serve their church, and teaches the Bible and practical skills at conferences and seminars around the world. He is the author of Then Sings My Soul, a book about Biblical music ministry for every Christian. He also writes songs, and is perhaps best known for the music for "Consider Christ" and "Never Alone". Philip studied music at Sydney University, theology at Moore Theological College, Sydney, has a Masters degree from Oxford University and is currently studying for a PhD in the biblical theology of worship.

Alanna Glover is a singer-song writer who has sung on many of Emu's albums. Previously a church music director in Sydney and member of the band Garage Hymnal, she now lives in Oxford where she splits her time between working for Emu and being a mum. She has a Bachelor of Theology from Sydney Missionary Bible College and a Music Degree from Sydney University.

Liv Chapman has been writing and singing for Emu for many years and is now part of the ministry staff team in Oxford. She continues to be involved with the albums and the Word In Song UK team, as well as developing new music and resources for Emu Youth. She is now studying Biblical theology part-time at Moore College.
