About the Programme
The onset of Covid has resulted in many changes and adaptations, one of which was the switch to working-from-home. This has resulted in an increase in ergonomic health issues, such as stiff necks, aches and pain in the back, shoulders or hands. Conversely, it has also created a renewed interest in the importance of ergonomics, particularly in the home workspace.
The International Ergonomics Association defines ergonomics as “the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design to optimize human well-being and overall system performance.”
In this talk, you’ll learn about ergonomic principles and its application. Pick up simple tips in designing your workspace, good habits while working, and simple, easy to do exercises that will help to minimize risks of injury and maintain your well-being.
This programme is the first of a 3-parter series that explores the health issues of working-from-home, and is organized in collaboration with Singapore General Hospital.
