Family Conflicts - Why Is It My Problem?
Family conflicts do not arise suddenly. Neither are they confined to one issue or a single person. A variety of factors are usually involved, e.g. the degree of congruence between members of the family, how each person perceives what he or she is getting in their perceived world versus what they hold dear in their ideal world, and how each person behaves to get what they want.
Spend the afternoon disovering the many ways to help families resolve their conflicts and impasses, Understand the dynamics of power plays between family members. Recognise which alliances are contributing to instability, and even understanding who is controlling whom and who is favoring whom.
The presenter will offer some suggestions or steps to help families in conflict build better relationships, and how to plan for effective resolutions.
