About the Programme/ Event

The temperature of our business partner and customer relationships are often affected by our written communication. Writing clear and accurate business documents is essential for everyone in the workplace.

This interactive talk forms a two-part series to examine the essentials of effective writing, the writer’s tools, common pitfalls, and how to write according to modern writing standards.

Part 1 focuses on fundamental principles of business writing and importance of tone, clarity, conciseness, accuracy, coherence, and credibility in written communication.

Part 2 builds on this to focus on common grammatical errors, editing and proof reading, and on considerations for email and report writing.

About the Trainer

As a seasoned trainer and facilitator Prakash Mathur brings 35 years of global management experience. As a Senior British Council Trainer Consultant for the past 12 years, he has delivered a large number of specialised leadership, English language, Business Communication, and Management courses for a range of organisations. Prakash was also a consultant to the World Health Organization in Bangladesh and a specialist trainer with the British Council in New Delhi in business communication.
