  • Practice selling acrosss cultures: What works and what does not
  • Practice behaviours that drive success in Multi-Cultural Teams
  • Drive Business Results though enhanced Global Cultural Intelligence

GLOBAL CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE & BUSINESS SUCCESS
In today’s world multi-cultural workplaces are a given as day by day we work with those who are from a different race, religion, ethnicity or country. In such an environment we need to know how to:

  1. Build influence with those who are different from us.
  2. Know how to sell to those who are different from us.
  3. Develop teamwork with those who are different from us.

The consequence of not doing so means that we don’t get taken seriously, we don’t get the deal and we can damage teamwork and so damage business results. More than just cultural awareness we need Global Cultural Intelligence (GCQ), which is the ability not just to understand but to proactively work with other cultures.

GCQ enables you to be successful across cultures by assessing and improving the impact you have on others, your ability to sell and the quality of your teamwork. GCQ is the difference between success and failure in today’s global organisations.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

  1. Get taken seriously by those from other cultures
  2. Make the sale with those from other cultures
  3. Avoid costly cross-cultural mistakes
  4. Improve positive teamwork with those from other cultures
  5. Measure your current Global Cultural Intelligence
  6. Identify how GCQ boosts profitability
  7. Improve business results by enhancing cultural co-operation

GLOBAL CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE (GCQ) PROFILE

The GCQ profile is based Philip Merry’s 37 years of cross cultural work in 59 countries, enabling you to compare your view of your GCQ with the view of colleagues, identifying strengths and gaps for improvement. Made up of 4 capabilities: Detective, Auditor, Reconciler and Connector the GCQ profile not only helps you understand cultural issues but also helps you with the interpersonal skills needed to deal with those cultural situations. GCQ is a holistic model which has practical usefulness in day to day leadership, selling and team situations.

METHOD

Methods include: profile interpretation and coaching, interactive and experiential exercises, individual reflection, group discussions, simulations, role-plays. The workshop will be highly practical with a mixture of short content inputs and exercises focused on participant needs. Individual and group exercises will facilitate appreciation of culture's influence on influencing, selling and teamwork behaviour. Business case studies and dilemmas drawn from participants and from Philip Merry's 37 years cross cultural consulting experience in 59 countries help ground the learning..
