About this event
We are pleased to invite all ELT participants and alumni to the upcoming NUS-Enterprise SG-HSBC-LinHart ELT Community Event: “Positioning SMEs to incorporate Sustainable Businesses as the Next Growth Engine”.
This in-person, invitation-only event will be held from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at The Great Room, Ngee Ann City, Orchard Road on 30 August 2022. Coffee/Tea and light snacks will be served.
The transition to net-zero greenhouse-gas emissions will take trillions of dollars and several decades. All leaders of organizations, big or small, can extract maximum value from the journey to Net Zero. However, there will be challenges as well as opportunities for our SMEs across many industries. Companies need to play offense to not just protect their core business but capture the full value from sustainability. Green growth and the creation of business value from sustainability need to be high on the SME's leader agenda and can be a source of durable competitive advantage.
Our ELT banking partner, HSBC, will also share their vision and some of the work they are doing to help mobilize the net zero transition, and present some ideas on how they can support SMEs in their sustainability endeavours and journey.
Mr. Kelvin Tan, Head of Sustainable Finance and Investments, ASEAN will share his insights and experience.
Ms. Christina Lee, CEO, Global Green Connect, who founded her green company more than eight years ago, will share her sustainability and provide some ideas on how SMEs can transform their business with a green growth focus and also discuss how leverage on the ecosystem for greater impact.
We will also have a representative of Enterprise Singapore's Enterprise Sustainability Programme discuss how SMEs can participate actively in Singapore's Green Plan 2030 initiatives and the grants that are available.
