Green Market Showcase: World Water Day

Meet like-minded communities and organisations in this two-day event and discover exciting showcases that address various environmental causes.

Participating Organisations

• Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore): Discover the institute’s programmes with opportunities for photo taking at their interactive booth filled with storytelling props and safari chairs. Children will also get to put on some glitter tattoos at the booth.

• SG Beach Warriors: Learn more about this coastal clean-up organisation and how you can volunteer to protect marine life.

• Food Citizen: Discover how we can be changemakers for a world where caring for the Earth, society, and self is a daily and intentional practice. Food Citizen will share about their talks, workshops and other programmes by local/ regional practitioners and showcase samples of compost and plants.

• The Plastic Project: Learn how this community project resolves our plastic problem through education and innovative new ideas and methods on recycling plastic waste into new, valuable plastic goods.

• Bamboostrawgirl: Meet a homegrown Singapore social enterprise that aims to start eco conversations through the simple bamboo straw -- nature’s solution to nasty plastic!

• Natventure: Learn about plastic pollution and what people can do to save our ocean. Pledge your support for the environment. There will also be curated books for sale.

• reuuse: Minimize your impact on the environment with reuuse's inexpensive and eco-friendly handsoaps. Their hand soap tablet refills let you reuse your foaming hand soap bottles. Each of their soap tablet is wrapped in sustainable packaging, reducing single-use plastics.

As part of CapitaLand’s Let’s Get Down to Earth 2022, the Green Market presents World Water Day! The theme spotlights a precious resource, illuminating the ways we connect with it and the impact of our actions.

From 19 to 20 Mar 2022, Green Market: World Water Day offers various interactive events and activities that you can access online and on-site at Choa Chu Kang Public Library. Meet communities and organisations that champion various environmental causes and learn about how you can play your part too at the Green Market Showcase. The event is supported by CapitaLand Hope Foundation and Lot One Shoppers’ Mall.
