Description

Well versed in startups and the sweat and hard work needed to get them going, Chris Hwang with his partner, Jonathan Shen, bootstrapped The Golden Duck to the 'Forbes 30 Under 30' class of 2017. Together they run The Golden Duck (TGD) - what is probably Asia's fastest growing snack start up. Starting with less than S$50,000 in capital in 2015, The Golden Duck has grown to over 100 full time employees in less than 3 years, and has a total output of more than 20 tonnes of tantalising gourmet snacks per month.

Munch on The Golden Duck's newest mouthwatering snacks while engaging with Co-Founder Chris Hwang on some difficult discussions. Growing a start up is tough. Growing it on the last of your savings is even tougher. Chris manages the production, business expansion and finances of TGD, and in this Spotlight Series session, he shares some of the lessons he wished he had learnt before starting his companies.

Cash flow is an elusive concept that many founders are familiar with, but one that most people outside the entrepreneurial circle struggle to comprehend. How much should you pay yourself, or your team members? How do you balance business expansion with no cash? How can you plan finances to avoid crashing your company?

If you want to find out how to best manage your cash while scaling huge growth, this is definitely one session you won't want to miss.
