About the Programme/Event
You may know blue pea as a natural blue colouring in local pastries such as Pulut Tai Tai, but did you know it has tremendous medicinal value too? Traditionally, the roots are used to treat sore throats and mucus disorders and the juice from the roots (mixed with cold milk) as a remedy for chronic bronchitis. Be enlightened on the wonders of this pretty and edible plant as speaker Mdm Teh Mooi Yan shares how you can easily grow and use them at home.
This programme is suitable for those aged 50 and above.

About the Speaker
Mdm Teh Mooi Yan is a NParks Community in Bloom Ambassador and has been an active gardener in Choa Chu Kang (CCK) Park Community garden since 2014. She has actively organised gardening-related events and led the CCK team in the Gardeners’ Cup 2018 competition. As a former lecturer, her passion for learning and sharing motivated her to enroll in gardening classes and put theory into practice, and to equip herself with the knowledge and skills to conduct gardening workshops for new gardeners.
