Come and be equipped with a deeper understanding of the ‘know hows’ to share gender identity & sexuality with children/youths.

Synopsis

• Why is the younger generation increasingly uncomfortable/confused about their gender?

• Are there really more genders than just being male and female?

• What is “gender dysphoria”?

• How can I teach my child about gender & gender identity?

• How can I get my child to be comfortable in the gender he/she is born into?

• Why do I need to be the primary educator of gender issues to my child?

• Come and be equipped with a deeper understanding and be equipped with the ‘know hows’ to teach you child about gender identity.

Speakers:

Carmen Tan

Carmen is currently pursuing her MA in Applied Linguistics. She has a Linguistics and Sociology undergraduate degree and has taught English in a local school for some years, before going off to pursue her theological studies at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. She is involved in delivering faith formation programmes, and is an active individual who enjoys trekking, running, rock climbing and reading.

Sunny

A husband and father of two teenage children, Sunny is critically aware of the pervasiveness of gender confusion amongst children/youths and the need to address this issue by equipping parents. He is a Marital and Family Therapist at Family Life Society. Sunny holds a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy and has organised many Sexual Risks Forums and parenting talks.
