About this event

Health is wealth and healthy eating habits are key to leading an active and healthy life. By getting the right nutrition, we can maintain an optimal weight and build immunity against chronic diseases. Food choices are known to affect our mental health too. Join us to learn the steps to establishing healthy eating habits.

Speaker

Dr Victor Kwok is a psychiatrist with Private Space Medical. He was formerly the Head and Senior Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry, Sengkang General Hospital. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from National University of Singapore. He subsequently obtained his Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) and then his qualification as a specialist in Psychiatry.

Prior to that, he was the Director for the Early Intervention Program for Depression and Anxiety in Singapore General Hospital where he worked closely with patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

He has a special interest in Eating Disorders and he undertook his fellowship training in this field at Stanford Health Care, California, USA.

We have worked with healthcare agencies, schools and corporations to equip employees, parents and students with mindfulness tools to help them stay physically and mentally well. 

 

Course graduates may enhance their practice by joining our weekly mindfulness clubs. Furthermore there are free regular health talks conducted by healthcare professionals and qualified speakers open to the public.

 

Launched in 2012 as a charity that aims to promote happier and healthier living, Brahm Centre is a full member of the National Council of Social Services and an Institution of Public Character.

Please note that all course registrations are NON-refundable. Transfer of selected mindfulness courses is subject to a $30 transfer fee and a $10 admin fee for a mindfulness make-up class. There are NO transfers or make-up classes available for all other courses.
