About This Event
The holidays can be a season of mixed feelings—where joy and sorrow often intertwine. If you're carrying a sense of loss alongside the festive lights, you are not alone.
Join us for a warm, intimate evening dedicated to making space for all that you hold. This is a curated space for gentle connection, shared reflection, and simple activities that honour both grief and gratitude.
Come as you are for an evening of quiet camaraderie, guided by death doulas Xinran and Priscilla. It's a chance to acknowledge the complexity of the season in a supportive atmosphere and to find comfort in community.
This gathering was created with you in mind if the holidays bring a sense of complexity rather than simple cheer. You might be grieving a death, feeling a loved one's absence more acutely this season, or navigating a different kind of loss—a relationship that has ended, a job that has changed, or your health. Perhaps you find the festive period emotionally draining, feel the weight of having to perform a happiness you don't feel, or you simply wish to move through the holidays with more gentle intention and less external pressure. However you are arriving, this is a space where your whole experience is welcome.
What to Expect:
- A Welcoming Circle: A gentle introduction and activities in a safe, cozy atmosphere.
- Simple Ritual-Making: A collective, creative activity to acknowledge and honour what we carry.
- Community & Connection: Optional sharing and quiet camaraderie with others who understand.
- Light Refreshments: Tea/cocoa and light bites to nourish the body as we tend to the heart.
What You'll Take Home:
A Sense of Peace & Permission: A renewed feeling that it's okay to hold complex emotions, giving you the self-permission to navigate the holidays on your own terms.
- Your "Carry Forward" Token: A personal written intention—a memory, strength, or hope—that you've consciously chosen to bring with you into the new year.
- A Simple Ritual Practice: The experience of a meaningful "Let Go & Carry Forward" ritual that you can adapt and return to whenever needed.
Please Note: This is a supportive space, not a therapy session. It is designed for reflection and community, not clinical treatment.
