About the Programme/Event

Dying is a universal experience, but it is also a conversation that we often shelve away until the inevitable sets in. These conversations may be difficult and challenging to have but they are necessary and will empower a person to “leave well”.

Through this two-hour workshop, participants will be introduced to the concept of palliative care and the Community Engagement Kit, a curated package of information and activities that comprises brochures, a journal, and conversation cards. Participants will also learn how to use this kit effectively to initiate end-of-life care conversations with their loved ones and gain a deeper understanding of palliative care.

Participants are encouraged to use the community engagement kit to have conversations with at least two individuals and provide feedback of their experiences after the session.

This programme is suitable for those aged 50 years and above, and organised in collaboration with Singapore Hospice Council.
