Description

CONNECT is back!!!

Many have said that we are facing higher levels of complexity than ever before. As we face a context that is diverse and ambiguous, and one that has a volatile present and an uncertain future, what is the leadership that is needed to help organisations navigate the complex context of today? How do we develop and build leadership that has the capacities and capabilities needed for today? What are the perspectives and approaches that we need to have to be effective in the work of leadership development?

This workshop takes a critical yet appreciative stance to examine the concepts, designs and practice of leadership development. We will:

  • EXPLORE some philosophical underpinnings of leadership development and look at the future trends of the practice.
  • SHARE frames, designs and insights gained from our leadership development work experience
  • DIALOGUE on the mechanics and efficacy of various methodologies and elements in leadership development
  • REFLECT as facilitators, on the use of self in leadership development work

At the end of this session, you will hopefully have:

  • Expanded your thinking and language, and gained a deeper appreciation of issues surrounding leadership development
  • Have some frames to hang future experiences with leadership development
  • Collected some ideas for your leadership development work
