Event description
IB eSeminar on "Adding a Programme(PYP/MYP/DP/CP)"

About this Event

As a leader in international education, the International Baccalaureate® (IB) advocates a set of learner profile attributes that describes a broad range of human capacities and responsibilities which go beyond academic success. The IB aspires to help schools develop well-rounded students whom respond to challenges with optimism and an open mind, are confident in their own identities, make ethical decisions, join with others in celebrating a shared sense of humanity and are prepared to apply what they learn in real-world, complex and unpredictable situations.

The 4 IB Programmes (PYP/MYP/DP/CP for children aged 3-19) nurture and develop students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning. The PYP curriculum framework is uniquely adaptable to state and national standards. Guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, students deepen their learning by developing their conceptual understandings; strengthening their knowledge and skills across and beyond subject areas. The MYP is a challenging framework that helps students make practical connections between their studies and the real world. The MYP is ideally implemented over 5 years of study with an innovative E-assessment at grade 10. The IBDP at grade 11 and 12 prepares students for higher education with wide recognition by universities globally. The IBDP provides a balanced education. The IBCP is a one of its kind framework that incorporates the values of an IB education while addressing the needs of a career related education. The CP is offered at Grade 11 and 12 and offers a pathway to Higher Education or Employment.

This eSeminar is ideal for owners, heads of schools, and teachers from the Asia-Pacific region who are seeking information about adding IB programmes in IB schools or schools looking at adopting IB programmes. The online seminar will include sharing of experiences on various programmes and advantage of the IB continuum by IB staff and IB educators in Asia Pacific. programmes.
